So save it after the Pro Bowl Game is finished - Do not attempt go any further into the new season, not yet! Get out of the game & make your adjustments thru NZA's editor such as players, rookies, coaches ect Save it. When you are at that Pro Bowl, finish the game & save it right there! This is the sweet spot to avoid any glitches when in normal season afterwards. There is a trick that works in Franchise mode only - it is highly recommended to make changes & adjustments after the Super bowl with any tool sets such as NZA's. After that it is 1 point per person or let the pc figure in more points depends how those players performed. It gave me 4 to 5 points per rookies for two years in a row only. (sadly!!) Countless amounts of editing research was lost as a result.įootball Freaks:Wiki still supported by Wikpidia, tons of files there! But 2005-2008 has too many features 2004 does not.įootball-Freaks is defunct. The roster editor cannot edit progression points for 2004. The PC version of 08 is no different, and it plays like a charm, warts and all. I always tended to come back to my Madden 09 Xbox franchise even if the subsequent 360 and PS3 Maddens weren't up to par. Great graphical mods and regular roster updates. Plus, the modding community for Madden 08 PC is still fairly active on a few forums. I hope future Maddens take cues from the last few Maddens of last generation. Everything seemed to feel more alive.įrom what I remember, the current Madden development team was responsible for the final last-gen Maddens (07-09 for Xbox, Gamecube and PS2) before starting on the Head Coach reboot. Finding the right combination of coaches also mattered. In Madden 09 on Xbox, I loved having role players come out of the woodwork and become stars (and "NFL Icons") over a period of a few seasons, through consistent play. This is something the new CCM progression system tries to implement but doesn't necessarily nail.

Performance really mattered, especially for rookies and role players. The final few Madden games of last-gen really nailed progression during Franchise and added a huge level of immersion. Graphics are extremely clear in 1080P and the game runs smoother than any last-gen console version I remember. I recently bought the PC version of Madden 08 for five dollars as part of an Amazon sale (bundled with NHL 09) and have been having a really good time.
