This is the sweet spot to avoid any glitches when in normal season afterwards. Performance really mattered, especially for rookies and role players. The final few Madden games of last-gen really nailed progression during Franchise and added a huge level of immersion. Graphics are extremely clear in 1080P and the game runs smoother than any last-gen console version I remember. I recently bought the PC version of Madden 08 for five dollars as part of an Amazon sale (bundled with NHL 09) and have been having a really good time.
